Patios, Seat Walls and Fire Features

What is Hardscaping?

Hardscaping is a catch all term for the non living, man made aspects of your landscape. Well, what does that mean? It is a term used to describe your patios, seat walls, walkways, pergolas, etc etc.

Throughout Georgetown, Pawleys Island and Murrells Inlet we have built many different hardscape projects from simple rectangular patios to more complicated patios with curves and fancy inlays! We have built fire features ranging from an outdoor fire place to a more simple wood burning fire pit.

Building a patio isn't as simple as clearing grass and dumping sand level on bare ground and then laying some pavers. Any hardscape starts with a proper base. The base depth calculation all depends on what you are building and what it will be used for. A paver walkway does not need the same depth of base as a driveway will.

It also depends on the sub soil characteristics. Digging to the correct depth and using proper base material is key to a long lasting patio, seat wall or any outdoor stone or concrete feature. From design to build, GreenWerx has the knowledge and experience to create a long lasting outdoor hardscape feature that will stand the test of time.
