My name is Andrew Parker and I am the owner of GreenWerx. My first lawncare business was started in high school as a way to help save for college. After attending the University of South Carolina, I moved back to Pawleys Island. For the next several years I helped grow our family real estate company, Parker Properties, into what it is today. 

At Parker Properties, I founded the maintenance division. While running the maintenance division I oversaw the lawn care needs of the commercial and residential properties managed by Parker Properties. This reignited a passion for working outside within a landscape and so I left Parker Properties for greener pastures (or lawns rather) and created GreenWerx.

 

Becoming more and more interested in the all aspects of the landscape profession, I began taking as many classes as I  could to learn the trade. I took classes in horticulture and design at night in my free time. I also took classes provided by Hunter Industries and Rainbird, two of the leaders in residential irrigation. 

 

In an industry full of people with a mower and a blower calling themselves a landscaper, I felt it was vital to separate myself and my company as a professional. So, I decided I needed more than just classes to be able to prove to my clients that I am a professional. I enrolled in the South Carolina Certified Landscape Professional course offered through Clemson. I am very proud to say I am one of a select group of professional landscapers in our state to hold the designation.

From the humble beginnings of the maintenance division grew GreenWerx. I was finally able to get back to my passion of being outdoors and playing in dirt!  In addition to lawncare and maintenance, we provide both residential and commercial landscape design and install, irrigation, hardscape and low voltage lighting services to Horry and Georgetown counties.
